Pacers Downed by Lycoming, 16-13

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University came short in its second consecutive close-contested game to start its women's lacrosse season. The Pacers fell to Lycoming College 16-13 Saturday in a freezing women's lacrosse game. 

Natalie Yilanjian tied a career high with five goals. She added three draw controls. 

Avery Meighan contributed four goals and an assist for five points. She tallied 14 draw controls and two caused turnovers. 

Kaitlyn Smith had a team-high six points on three goals and three assists to complement five ground balls.  Kortney Harry scored once. 

Defensively, Haley Abraham made four caused turnovers. Jenna Scala totaled six saves. 

Lycoming's Riley Block scored six goals and two assists with seven draws. Alexa Baldwin had a goal and five assists. Zoe Stauffer stopped 14 shots. 

Marywood (0-2) looks for its first win Tuesday against Lebanon Valley College.
