Baseball Falls to Immaculata in Series Finale

Pacers return home Tuesday

Immaculata, Pa. - The Marywood University baseball team traveled to Immaculata for the series finale against the Mighty Macs (12-7, 3-0 AEC). The Pacer (8-6, 0-3 AEC) would go on to drop the third game of the series 21-3. 

The Pacers recorded eight hits in the contest, Max Slusser and Joe Yannelli each tallied two a piece. 

Marywood scored in the sixth inning on an RBI single from Slusser, plating Christian Michak. 

In the eighth, Vinny D'Auria singled, scoring Yannelli. Ethan Levine followed up reaching on an RBI fielder's choice. 

Owen Riley got the loss for the Pacers dropping to 1-1 on the season. He went three and ⅔ innings allowing six hits, no earned runs, six walks, and tallying a strikeout. 

Michael Aronica and Danny Becker each made a relief appearance recording no earned runs. 

Alex LePage got the win for Immaculata pitching six innings allowing four hits, no earned runs, and punching out nine. 

The Pacers return home on Tuesday to host Clarks Summit.
