Kozera, Ryder Break School Records

Abbey Megotz runs conference-best, wind-assisted 200 dash time

Susquehanna Valley, Pa. — Thirteen miles apart on Route 15, freshman Nolan Kozera and sophomore Bryce Ryder broke Marywood University men's track and field records. The Pacers competed at Susquehanna University and Bucknell University.

At Susquehanna, Nolan Kozera finished in first place in the 100 dash to break the Marywood school record. Kozera finished in 10.96 seconds to surpass Noah Zeigler's 2022 record by three-hundredths of a second.

At Bucknell, Bryce Ryder broke school and conference records in the unseeded 10K race. Ryder was 22nd place — seventh among NCAA Division III runners — with a time of 31:44.86. He beat the David Haines' school record by 16 seconds.

Will Kalinich was sixth place in the javelin with a throw of 145 feet, 3 inches (44.27m). Kalinich tied for fifth all-time at Marywood with a discus throw of 116 feet, 10 inches (35.61m).

AJ Rosenfeld was the runner-up in the 5K at Susquehanna with a time of 17:46.52. Thomas O'Keefe (18:41.95) and Matthew Kokinda (19:48.6) were in fifth and sixth places, respectively.

Tucker Indikovic measured a fifth-place long jump of 19 feet, 6 1/4 inches (5.95m). Marywood's 4x100 relay of Matt Custer, Kozera, CJ Shygelski and John Wargins was sixth in 46.56 seconds.

Jakob Seamans finished in seventh place in the 1,500. He clocked in at 4:26.06, leading Ian Kovatch (4:29.62) by two places.

Megotz runs AEC-best time

Abby Megotz ran a fifth-place finish in the 20 at Susquehanna. Megotz' time of 26.84 seconds would have broken a school record if not for wind assistance. Megotz was also fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:03.36.

Hayley Gaines came in fourth place in the 800. Gaines completed the race in 2:32.52. Maddie Gentile was sixth in the 1500 with a person record of 5:23.56.

The 4x400 relay of Gaines, Jocelyn Dames, Marissa Martin and Megotz finish in 4:53.59.

Marissa Martin was eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 32 feet, 3 3/4 inches (9.85m).

At Bucknell, Lany Straub came in ninth in the 10K in 39:24.05.
