Pacers Eliminated by Marymount in Atlantic East First Round

Nick Baker breaks single-season caused turnovers record

Arlington, Va. — Marywood University was eliminated by third-seeded Marymount University 19-7 Saturday in the Atlantic East Conference men's lacrosse first round. The Saints (8-9) travel to Gwynedd Mercy University in the semifinal on Wednesday. 

In similar fashion to their regular meeting matchup last week, the Saints broke away from a second-quarter tie with nine consecutive goals. 

John Scibello and Nick Ericson each finished with a hat trick. Scibello added five ground balls and two caused turnovers. Ericson accrued 11 faceoff wins and seven ground balls. 

Nick Baker broke the Marywood single-season caused turnover record. He finishes the season with 41 caused turnovers. 

Dillon Kane added a goal. 

The Saints were led by Chris Bochilo's four goals and two assists. Gavin Taylorson had a hat trick. 

Colin Trainor made 10 saves in the loss. Marymount's Jacob Brooks had 11 saves. 

Marymount outshot the Pacers by a 48-30 margin. Marywood edged the Saints 28-27 in ground balls. 

Marywood finished the season with a 3-13 record.
