Marywood Wins Four Events at Susquehanna

Marywood sweeps the DMR events

Selinsgrove, Pa. — Marywood University men's and women's track and field won four events at the River Hawk Invite Saturday at Susquehanna University. It was the Pacers' first meet of the calendar year.

Joseph Cardillo won the 3,000-meter race in a time of 9:14.96. Wil Canney followed in fourth place in 9:24.28.

The men's distance medley relay finished first with a 10:31.55 finish. Thomas Lee, John Russo, Raidan Francis and Jack Baronski defeated King's College by 24 seconds.

The women's distance medley relay were the top team in 14:18.88. The foursome of Paige Redman, Abby Megotz, Abby Adamsky and Lany Straub beat Susquehanna University by seven seconds.

Rosalyn Page had the top distance in the shot put. Her throw measured at 39 feet, 11 1/2 inches (12.18m).

KC Nwokedi and Will Kalinich secured the second- and third-best weight throw distances , respectively, in school history. Kwokedi reached 42 feet (12.8m) for seventh place. Kalinich hit a mark of 41 feet, 7 inches (12.67m) for ninth place.

Marywood travels to Ithaca College on Feb. 1-2.
