Three players finish with 15 points apiece

Immaculata, Pa. — Marywood University defeated Immaculata University 85-80 in an overtime thriller Wednesday night in Atlantic East Conference men's basketball action. The Pacers played their second straight overtime game, both decided by the same scoreline.

Three players — Brendan Franko, Trevor Seitz and Shilo Bivins — each led the Pacers with 15 points.

Trailing by as many as eight points with under 10 minutes remaining, Marywood stormed back to force overtime. The Pacers went on a seven-point run in 63 seconds, cutting the Mighty Macs' lead to 54-53 on a Cole Johnson layup.

Marywood went on a nine-point run to take the lead. Franko tied the game at 56-56 on a 3-pointer and took the lead on a layup from Johnson.

Franko's 3-pointer with just under four minutes remaining in regulation gave Marywood a 65-57 lead, capping a 19-3 run over a six-minute stretch.

Immaculata soon found its stride, scoring nine straight points. Mandon Seapoe gave the Mighty Macs a 66-65 lead with 1:29 left in the second half.

The teams traded leads, and Seitz drained a 3-pointer from Franko with 34 seconds left. Immaculata's Dylan Crews made two free throws to send the game into overtime.

Seitz was clutch in overtime with two consecutive 3-pointers, the latter of which supplied Marywood a 76-74 lead with 2:50 left. On their next possession, Bivins made a layup to make it a two-possession game.

Immaculata's Tym Richardson cut the deficit to 78-75 with a free throw, and Bivins made another layup at the other end to keep Marywood's lead intact.

Mason Mendygral was fouled after a steal and made both free throws to extend the Pacers' lead to six with 21 seconds left.

Michel Loftin finished with seven rebounds.
