Samaniego Tabs Atlantic East Player of the Week Honors

Samaniego posted 29 kills

Haddonfield, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Volleyball weekly award winners, Monday. Marywood University's Carolina Samaniego was named Player of the Week.

Samaniego produced a team-high 35 points in three Marywood three-set wins this week. She had 29 kills with a .250 hitting percentage, 29 digs and five blocks. In a win over Gwynedd Mercy, Samaniego had 13 kills with a .393 hitting percentage. She added eight kills against both Drew and Rutgers-Newark. Samaniego recorded 11 digs against both the Rangers and Griffins.

Marywood will host Cairn University, Wednesday.
