Marywood Downs River Hawks to Extend Undefeated Streak to Four

The Pacers win two of three doubles matches

Selinsgrove, Pa. -- Marywood University women's tennis extended its season-opening undefeated streak to four matches with a 6-1 win over Susquehanna University. The Pacers have their best record to start a season since the 2012-13 campaign. 

Kylie Kilgore won the top singles flight by a 6-0, 7-6 (1) score. Alexandria Vitale posted a 6-4, 6-3 win in No. 2 singles. 

In the third singles, Avianna Santarelli had a 6-1, 6-2 victory. Catarina English notched a 6-4, 6-1 win in the No. 4 singles. 

Hannah Brownlee rounded out the singles with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the sixth. 

Marywood won all two of the three doubles matches by 6-2 scores to capture the point. Kilgore and Vitale claimed the win in the top flight. English and Hanna Adonizio took the No. 2 doubles.

Marywood hosts King's College on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
