Women's Basketball Opens with Loss to Messiah

Marywood to take on Saint Vincent on Saturday

Mechanicsburg, Pa. — Marywood University women's basketball opened its season with an 81-48 loss to Messiah College on Friday. 

Megan Cavoli led the Pacers with 12 points. Both Jewlya McCullon and Olivia Ciullo had eight points. 

Messiah had 27 points from Liv Monturo. Monturo shot 11 for 15 from the field. 

Charlotte Milanesi had a double-double of 16 points and 10 assists for the Falcons. Brooke Fenchel had 10 points. 

Marywood was 10 for 12 (83.3 percent) from the free-throw line.

The Pacers will take on Saint Vincent College on Saturday.
