Men's Lacrosse Takes Down Aggies, 12-4

Scranton, Pa. -- Marywood University took down Delaware Valley University 12-4 in a non-conference men's lacrosse victory. The Pacers end a three-game winning streak to improve to 5-4 overall. 

Shaun Howey set a career-high with three goals and an assist for four points. 

John Scibello picked up seven ground balls and scored three points on two goals and an assist. Dillon Kane matched him with two goals and an assist. Ben Peters and Sheamus Scanlan scored twice.

Defensively, Dalton Gerver produced six ground balls. 

Luke Ament was 15 for 19 (78.9 percent) from the faceoff-x with 10 ground balls. 

In net, Colin Trainro made seven saves for the win. His counterpart Daniel Hicklin had 21 saves. 

The Aggies' Kieran Schneider had a hat trick. 

Marywood outshot the Aggies by a 53-16 margin. Marywood had a 55-23 advantage in ground balls. 

The Pacers broke away from a 2-2 tie by going on an 9-1 run. DelVal took an early lead on Ryley Savering's goal from Owen Kelly. Marywood responded nine minutes later with its first goal, a Peters' tally from Meighan. 

Howey scored twiced to kickstart the Marywood run. Howey produced a man-up goal from Sean Bonhag with 3:42 left in the first. After Schneider evened the score at 14:23, Howey regained the lead a minute later. Marywood had an eight-run run that was capped by a Scibello goal that put the Pacers ahead 11-3. 

The Pacers travel to Dallas Twp. to take on Misericordia University on Tuesday.
