Immaculata, Pa. -- Marywood University men's tennis won its first Atlantic East Conference match since April 2023 on Saturday. The Pacers earned their second consecutive win with a 5-2 decision over Immaculata University.

Marywood ends a seven-match losing streak to the Mighty Macs that dates back to March 2017.

It is the Pacers' first winning streak since April 28-May 1, 2021. Marywood defeated Neumann and Gwynedd Mercy to conclude the pandemic-shortened regular season.

Fred Kloss won the No. 4 singles by scores of 6-3, 6-1. Leonardo Guzman continued his run with a 6-2, 6-1 win in No. 5 singles.

Stefano Varela-Seri hung on for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win at third singles. Alex Ni wrapped up the win with a 7-5, 3-6, 10-6 win in the sixth singles flight.

In doubles play, Marywood swept all three flights. The second and third doubles teams of Kloss/Ni and Matthew Wygonik/Guzman earned 6-2, 6-2 wins.

The top doubles flight of Alex Corcoran and Jack Biggs picked up a 7-6 (5) win.

Marywood looks to make it three straight wins on Saturday, April 5 against Marymount University.
