Marywood Silences the Owls, 1-0

Walters tallies her eighth goal of the season

Scranton, Pa. — The Marywood University women's soccer team hosted Bryn Mawr College on Saturday. After a closely contested 90 minutes, the Pacers (8-1) walked away victorious by a score of 1-0 over the Owls. 

Marywood broke the scoreless draw in the 47th minute of play. 

Kylie McDonald located Carly Walters, who buried her eighth score of the season to give the Pacers a 1-0 lead. 

Marywood out-shot Bryn Mawr 11-6 in total, and 6-2 on net. 

The Pacers also led in corner kick opportunities, 6-2. 

Genevieve Morrison recorded two saves for the Pacers in the shutout victory. 

Owl's keeper, Maeve Slemko, collected five saves in the day. 

Marywood will travel to Wilkes University on Wednesday for their next match.
