Marywood Downs Immaculata to Break Slide

Shilo Bivins finishes with double-double

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University broke a three-game slide with an 87-79 victory over Immaculata University Wednesday in the Atlantic East Conference men's basketball. 

Six players ended in double figures. The Pacers (12-10, 5-6 Atlantic East) shot 46.2 percent and made 14 shots from beyond the arc. 

Shilo Bivins had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Bivins made 7 of 11 shots from the field. 

Michel Loftin matched Bivins with 17 points. 

Off the bench, Noah Perry made four 3-pointers for a 14-point effort. Joe Macciocco had 10 points. 

Collin Himmelberg tallied six assists for 13 points. Andrew Quinn scored 11 points. 

Marywood went 13 of 15 from the charity stripe to 86.7 percent. Immaculata made just 60 percent. 

The Mighty Macs were led by Dylan Crews' 21 points with six assists. Mandon Seapoe (16), Robbie Conyer (12) and Jalen Flowers (11) also were in double figures. 

It was Marywood's fourth straight win over the Mighty Macs. Prior to this run, Marywood had just nine wins in 36 games. 

The Pacers opened with a 15-4 lead in the first five minutes. Loftin scored a layup from Joe Macciocco

Immaculata tied the game at 72-72 via a Robbie Conyer traditional three-point play with 5:43 remaining. The Mighty Macs and Pacers traded baskets with five minutes left. 

Loftin made a pair of free throws, followed by a Macciocco 3-pointer at the top of the key. Macciocco made a layup from Bivins on the Pacers' next possession. 

With just 1:18 left, Bivins makes a layup. 

 Marywood travels to face Saint Elizabeth University on Saturday.
