Women's Lacrosse Falls to Bulldogs in Overtime

Center Valley, Pa. — Marywood University women's lacrosse fell to future MAC Freedom opponent DeSales University 11-10 in overtime on Wednesday. The Pacers fall to 0-2 on the season. 

Kaitlyn Smith had two goals and three assists for five points. Smith added 10 draw controls and three ground balls. 

Natalie Yilanjian finished with a hat trick. 

Danica Kelly added two goals. Avery Meighan added a goal and an assist with four draw controls. 

Jessica Banta and Maggie Young each collected three ground balls. 

In goal, Jenna Scala made 11 saves. Her counterpart Larkin Trainor made 10 saves. 

Both Marywood and DeSales finished with 30 shots. Marywood committed 26 turnovers to DeSales' 21. The Bulldogs had a 19-17 advantage in ground balls. 

In overtime, Christina DiGuglielmo scored the game-winning goal on an assist from Emily Mulroony with 1:42 remaining. 

The Pacers travels to Misericordia University on Saturday in 1 p.m.
