Men's Lacrosse Brings Down Lycoming

Scranton, Pa. -- Marywood University men's lacrosse won its second straight game with a 9-2 decision over Lycoming College on Wednesday. The Pacers bookended the game with a pair of four-goal runs. 

Ben Meighan scored three goals and three assists for six points. Osten Grigas totaled a hat trick with seven ground balls. 

Luke Ament won 13 of 15 faceoffs with 12 ground balls. 

Defensively, Dalton Gerver had six ground balls. Owen Kelly and Antonio Cortes both tallied five ground balls. Alexander Votra picked up three ground balls. 

Lycoming's Evan Donnelly provided 21 saves in the losing effort. Colin Trainor had nine saves for Marywood. 

After a scoreless first 10 minutes, Grigas put the Pacers ahead on a Meighan assist. Both Meighan and Grigas scored before the end of the half to take a 3-0 lead. 

Meighan added his second goal three minutes into the second half. Lycoming scored two goals in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 5-2. The Pacers poured on four straight goals to close the game. 

Marywood travels to SUNY Delhi on Saturday.
