Pacers' Playoff Run Ends as Atlantic East Runner-Ups

Cavoli finishes career with 19-point game

East Whiteland Twp., Pa. — The Marywood University women's basketball's best conference run in four decades ended Saturday. The Pacers lost to top-seeded Immaculata University 74-49 loss in the Atlantic East Conference championship game. 

Megan Cavoli finished her career with a team-high 19 points. Cavoli was 8 for 20 from the field with six rebounds, four blocks and three steals. 

Anyah Ortiz totaled 18 points.

Combined, Cavoli and Ortiz scored 37 of the team's 49 points. 

Olivia Ciullo completed her collegiate career with an eight-rebound performance. Alli Anstadt made three steals. 

Immaculata's Carly Coleman was named the Atlantic East Tournament Most Valuable Player. Coleman had a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds. 

The Mighty Macs were also led in scoring by Olivia Etorre (15) and Abby Grillo (12). 

Immaculata won its second consecutive Atlantic East championship. The Mighty Macs qualify for the NCAA Division III tournament. 

The Pacers reached a conference championship for the first time since the 1984-85 season. Marywood finishes its season with a 14-13 record.
