Women's Lacrosse Nets Fifth Straight Win in Senior Day Rout

Pacers honor seniors Meighan, Smith, Yilanjian and McGlaughlin

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University women's lacrosse won its fifth straight game with a 25-1 rout over Wilson College Saturday in non-conference women's lacrosse. The Pacers improve to 6-5 overall on the season. 

Kaitlyn Smith scored the second-most goals and points in a single game at Marywood. She had nine goals and three assists for 12 points. Smith added eight draw controls and four ground balls. 

Avery Meighan provided four goals, three assists, seven points, six draw controls, five ground balls and four caused turnovers. 

Natalie Yilanjian scored four goals and an assist for five points. She supplied three ground ball. 

Marywood also received a pair of goals from Casey Monaghan. Alivia Backes had two goals and an assist. 

Defensively, Carly Lynch and Maggie Young had three ground balls. 

Wilson was plagued by 14 yellow cards and a red card. Alaina Marek scored the Phoenix's lone goal. Kaelyn Goff made 10 saves. 

Marywood opens its Atlantic East schedule at Immaculata University on Saturday.
