Men’s Tennis Drops Conference Match at Marymount

Box Score Arlington, Va.- The Marywood University men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Marymount University in men's tennis action, as the Saints controlled both doubles and singles play to secure the team's victory.

Marymount set the tone early by sweeping two of the three doubles matches to claim the opening point. The pairings of Rebhi Villasmil and Gunek Singh, along with Eshan Degamwar and Adam Stanulis, each delivered dominant 6-0 wins. Marywood avoided the sweep at No. 3 doubles, where Jack Biggs and Aidan Brunner earned a 6-2 victory over Nathaniel Tesfaye and Alex Hain.

In singles, Marymount continued its strong performance, winning four of the six matches to seal the outcome. Degamwar earned a straight-sets win at the top spot, defeating Gavin Gagliardi 6-3, 6-2, while Villasmil followed with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 victory over Alex Corcoran. Singh added another point for the Saints with a 6-2, 6-4 win against Zane Smoker, and Tesfaye cruised past Isaac Carpenter 6-1, 6-1.
Marywood picked up two singles victories to round out the match. Fred Kloss battled to a 6-2, 7-5 win over Giovanni Samuels, and Brunner secured a 6-4, 6-2 victory against Hain.

The Pacers (7-7, 2-1 AEC) host Immaculata University next Saturday.
