Pacers Eliminated by Pratt in Atlantic East Semifinals

Aston, Pa.- The season came to a close for the Marywood University men's tennis team as the Pacers were swept 4-0 by Pratt Institute in the Atlantic East Conference Semifinals on Friday morning at Neumann University's ESCS Memorial Courts.

Pratt, the tournament's No. 3 seed, seized control early by claiming the doubles point. The Cannoneers earned wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to take the early 1-0 lead.

In singles, Pratt continued its momentum, picking up straight-set victories in three completed matches to secure the team result. Mikah Liu earned a win at No. 1 singles over Gavin Gagliardi, while Eagle Zhang followed with a victory at No. 2 singles against Alex Corcoran. Nathan Park clinched the match for Pratt with a three-set win at No. 3 singles over Zane Smoker.

Several matches went unfinished after the team result was decided, including contests at No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 singles, along with No. 2 doubles.

Marywood concludes its season with an 8-8 overall record, while Pratt improves to 8-4 and advances to the Atlantic East Championship match.
