Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University crawled back to a 1-1 draw against Eastern Mennonite University on Sunday.
Cassidy Tweedie scored the lone goal for the Pacers. In the 57th minute, Tweedie drew a penalty kick on a foul in the box.
Marywood (1-0-1) bounced back after yielding a goal in the fourth minute. Bridget Hay scored from Ava Scott. On a ball that came in from the midfield sidelines, Hays corralled it from 20 yards and beat the goalkeeper.
The Pacers outshot the Royals 23-6 with a 9-3 advantage in shots on target. The Pacers edged Eastern Mennonite 4-3 in corners.
Genevieve Morrison made two saves for the Pacers.
Marywood travels to Bryn Mawr College on Wednesday.
