Vinny D’Auria was named Marywood University's assistant baseball coach after serving two seasons as a volunteer coach with the Pacers. D’Auria previously spent six seasons as a student-athlete with the Pacers and served as a three-year team captain, becoming a foundational leader for the program both on and off the field. A native of Walden, N.Y. and a graduate of Marywood University, D’Auria earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing in 2022 before completing his Master of Business Administration in Management in 2024.
As a student-athlete, D’Auria appeared as a starter across six seasons and developed into one of the Atlantic East Conference’s top offensive performers. At the end of his career, D’Auria tallied career numbers that rank in the top of Marywood’s career record holders. He finished his playing career second in games played, third in at-bats and hits, fourth in doubles, and second in Walks. In 2024, D’Auria hit for the 2nd Cycle in Marywood history against Clarks Summit University.
D’Auria was named Second-Team All Conference Outfielder in 2023. He was a two-time Team MVP in 2023 and 2024. He also receive multiple Weekly Atlantic East Honor Roll’s and Yearly Academic Honor Rolls.
Now transitioning from player to coach, D’Auria brings firsthand knowledge of the program, strong leadership experience, and a player-development mindset shaped by his time as a multi-year captain and veteran presence.
In his first year as the Pacers' Hitting Coach, he coached the offense to a record breaking season in 2026. The Pacers set the single-season win record with 26 wins. The team set single season offensive records, finishing the 2026 season with the most at-bats, hits, RBIs, runs, doubles, triples, walks, and sacrifice hits in a single season. The Pacers also had the second-highest average and slugging percentage, as well as second most HBPs. His experience in leadership, business, and collegiate athletics continues to support Marywood’s culture and competitive growth.
