Tori Jo Kakusian

Tori Jo Kakusian '18 joins the Marywood University field hockey staff as a volunteer assistant coach after one of the most successful careers in program history. Kakusian was a three-time First Team All-CSAC player from 2014-17 with the Pacers.

Kakusian finished her career as the all-time leader in defensive saves with 38 in her career. Kakusian also holds the single season records for defensive saves with 13 (2015, ranks #1), 12 (2016, ranks #2) and 9 (2017, ranks #3). Kakusian is also ranked second in single-season goals scored with 16 (2015) and fifth in single season points (35 in 2015).  She ranks tied for third in career goals with 41 (2014-2017) and holds the single game record for defensive saves with five (vs. Stockton, 2017).

Kakusian holds the Colonial States Athletic Conference record for career defensive saves. She had the third and fifth most defensive saves in a single-season as a sophomore and junior, respectively. 

She was the ECAC South Region Defensive Player of the Year in 2016. She received ECAC First Team honors in the South Region in 2016 and the Mid-Atlantic Region in 2015. Kakusian was the CSAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2016. She was selected to the First Team All-CSAC in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Additionally, the CSAC named her the CSAC Rookie of the Year in 2014. 

A native of Vestal, N.Y., Kakusian received her bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She is currently pursuing a master's degree from Marywood University.
