Joseph Pichiarello returns for the 2021-22 season for his seventh season as part of Coach Enrico Mastroianni’s staff.

Pichiarello’s coaching responsibilities include on-court coaching, scouting, player development, and assisting in video breakdown.

Before joining the Pacers, Pichiarello worked as an assistant boys’ basketball coach for three years in the Dunmore School District. While at Dunmore, Pichiarello contributed to practice drills, game strategy and player development.  Pichiarello also spent the spring of 2016 working with Electric City Voltz AAU program based in Scranton.

“Coach ‘Pic’ does so much more for our program than anyone can imagine. He spends countless hours studying game film and trying to present new ideas and strategies to the staff,” Head Coach Mastroianni said, complimenting his young assistant. “It also helps that he is a recent college graduate and can relate to these guys more closely in terms of their interests outside of basketball.”

In May of 2016, Pichiarello earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Scranton. Currently, he is continuing his education at the University of Scranton in his second year of work towards his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
