Brendan Butler '14 was named the assistant men's lacrosse coach at Marywood University for the 2026 season.
Butler served as the interim head coach at Alvernia University during the 2024 season. Prior to that, Butler was the assistant coach and defensive coordinator with the Golden Wolves from 2022 to 2024.
His foray into coaching was preceded by experience in the lacrosse sales industry. He worked as a team sales representative at Fourg Athletics from 2021-25. Prior to that, he was worked for four years as an e-commerce fulfillment manager, retail store manager and social media contributor at Universal Lacrosse in Somerville, N.J.
Butler worked in youth and development lacrosse shortly after his graduation. He has been the league director and travel team coach with Ath-Ed Sports, Inc./Jersey Thunder since 2014. He interned with Fields of Growth International, conducting lacrosse clinics and camps for at-risk youth in Jamaica.
He was a volunteer assistant and director of operations at Drew during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Butler coached for four seasons at Mount Olive High School in New Jersey.
Butler received his bachelor's degree in marketing from Marywood in 2014. He played for the Pacers for one season in 2011.
