Chris Litzenberger

    Volunteer Assistant Women's Soccer Coach
Chris Litzenberger joined the women's soccer staff in the summer of 2021 as a Volunteer Assistant Coach. A veteran coach, Litzenberger has experience at the collegiate and club levels, as well as ODP.

Since 2016, Litzenberger has been the owner and club director of Northeast United (NEU) Soccer Club. He coaches many teams within the club. In 2021, his 2006 Girls team played in the National Cup Series State Cup Final for Pennsylvania. They also went to back-to-back Indoor State Cup Fianls in 2019 and 2020, winning one. His players have gone on to play collegiately at all three NCAA levels, and produced one Division III All-American.

From 2015-2017 Litzenberger was an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Wilkes University where he was involved in all facets of the program. From 2016-2017, Litzenberger assisted Head Coach Andrew Smith with the Olympic Development Program (ODP) U12 Girls Wilkes-Barre/Scranton team. Prior to that, Litzenberger was involved heavily in the local high school soccer team with various coaching stops at G.A.R. (Head Boy's & Assistant Girl's), Holy Redeemer (Assistant Girl's) and Crestwood (7th-9th grade & varsity boys). 

Litzenberger has Advanced National, National and Goalkeeping 1 & 2 coaching licenses from United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA). 

Litzenberger received a B.S. in Sport Management from DeSales University in 2004 and has two master's degrees, one in Sport Management from East Stroudsburg University (2005) and one in Business Education from Bloomsburg University (2010).
