Sara Burgos was named assistant women’s volleyball assistant coach prior to the 2022 season. Burgos has previous experience as a both a high school coach and as a former Marywood University women’s volleyball player.
Burgos will assist Head Coach Bill Schutter with all of the facets of the women’s volleyball program, from recruiting to scouting, practices and game preparation.
Burgos earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting with minors in Art History and Sculpture from Marywood University. Burgos is currently a middle school teacher at NativityMiguel Scranton and the assistant boys volleyball coach at North Pocono High School.
Burgos played Division lll volleyball at Marywood University from 2018-2021. During her four seasons, Burgos played as the setter for 88 in-season games, missing 5 games due to injury. Burgos holds the record for assists in 3 sets and 5 sets as well as the career record for most assists.
