Dana Ciccotti will enter her eighth season as a Marywood University head tennis coach. Ciccotti serves a dual role as both the men's and women's tennis coach, entering her eighth season as the women's head coach and third season with the men's program.
A two-time recipient of the Atlantic East Coaching Staff of the Year, Ciccotti led Marywood to an Atlantic East Conference women's tennis championship in 2021-22. She took the Pacers to a runner-up finish in 2020-21. She received the back-to-back Atlantic East Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2021 and 2022.
Ciccotti joined the men's and women's tennis programs as an assistant coach in the spring 2017 semester before being named Head Women's Tennis Coach in January 2018. Prior to joining Marywood, Ciccotti was the Head Women's Tennis Coach at Lackawanna College from July 2014 to March 2017.
A resident of Scranton since 1976, Ciccotti graduated from Scranton Central High School, where she played tennis, basketball and softball. During her senior year, she advanced to the women's District 2 tennis quarterfinals in both singles and doubles.
She continued her collegiate career at the University of Scranton where she played both singles and doubles on the women's tennis team. Following the Scranton's termination of the tennis program in her senior year, Ciccotti transferred her athletic skills to women's softball team where she was the starting right fielder. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology in 1988.
Currently a USTA member and Dana participates in several leagues locally through Birchwood Tennis Club; and is the President of the Women's Softball League in Scranton from 2002-present.
Since 2006, Ciccotti has been a Family Support Coordinator for PA Virtual Charter School where she provides support and guidance to students and their families in the home setting and arranges and provides for frequent socialization opportunities in the community.
