Kailtyn Bevans enters her sixth season as the assistant field hockey coach at Marywood University. She was a volunteer assistant coach for the previous four seasons.
Bevans has received Atlantic East Coaching Staff of the Year award in both 2019 and 2023. She helped guide the Pacers to an Atlantic East championship and NCAA Division III At-Large berth in 2019.
From 2015-18, Bevans assisted former Head Coach Kacy Manning in a volunteer capacity, helping the Pacers reach four Conference post-season tournament appearances - three in the Colonial States Athletic Conference and one this past fall in Marywood's new conference, the Atlantic East. During that time the Pacers also reach the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) post-season on two occassions (2016, 2018).
Bevans has been instrumental in practice planning and youth clinics and has maintained a positive and respectable relationship with team members, making her the easy choice to fill the Assistant Coaching role after Dougherty was promoted to Head Coach in January.
Prior to Marywood, Bevans served as a Graduate Assistant Coach at DeSales University in Allentown where she helped lead the team to the MAC Freedom Conference playoffs. In addition to on-the-field coaching duties at DeSales, Bevans assisted in recruiting, ran team study halls, managed club sports budgets and practice times, and organized travel plans as well as youth camps and clinics.
She was also the U-14 Head Coach for United Field Hockey Club in Downingtown from October 2014-Febuary 25.
Bevans earned a undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Wilkes University in 2014 and is pursuing her Masters of Education with a concentration in Special Education from DeSales. As an undergrad at Wilkes, she earned certifications in Mathematics and Special Education. She is currently employed by the Dunmore School District. She resides in West Pittston.
