Nate Fiala enters his first season as an assistant coach at Marywood University following a one-year stint as the recruiting coordinator at his Alma mater East Stroudsburg University.
A Scranton native, Fiala attended Scranton Preparatory High School. He went on the pitch at Division II East Stroudsburg University, where he graduated with a degree in Business Management. While at ESU, Coach Fiala had a stellar career and holds numerous statistical records. One of his most notable achievements was throwing the program's eighth no-hitter on
March 29, 2019, against Lock Haven.
As a coach, Fiala helped the ESU pitching staff to a 3.24 ERA in 2022, a mark that led all of Division II. Fiala also coached 10th round draft pick Tom Reisinger. Additionally, Nate coached the Wilson Tobs of the Coastal Plains League finishing as the league’s runners up in 2022. He currently resides in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
