First as a student-athlete and then as a coach and administrator, Nicki Malloy has been a stable within the Marywood University Athletic Department for over 30 years.

From 1992-2014, Malloy served as the University's Coordinator of Intramurals and Recreation before being promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics and Recreation for Internal Operations in the fall of 2014. In the spring of 2018, Malloy became the Department's Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) and in March 2022, was named Associate Director where she is involved in all facets of the day-to-day operations of the athletic department and oversees internal operations.

In her role as Associate Director, Malloy is responsible for the oversight of academics and compliance, scheduling and game contracts for the Pacers' varsity programs while also serving as game-management coordinator for home athletic contests.

Malloy was named assistant coach with the softball program prior to the start of the 2014 season and immediately helped guide the Pacers to a 2014 CSAC Championship and NCAA tournament berth. She held that role until the fall of 2019 when she stepped away to focus on her administrative duties within the department.

During her collegiate playing days, Malloy was a force on the field in both field hockey and softball. A four-year member of the field hockey team, her defensive presence led the Pacers through a rebuilding process and into a leader of the PAC conference. For her efforts, Malloy was named to the ESAC All-Conference squad as a sophomore and named team MVP in 1989 and again in 1991.

Malloy was equally decorated as a softball player, batting .335 throughout her career at Marywood. She helped lead the Pacers to a team record of 17-9 and a berth into the ESAC Softball Playoffs in 1989. She was also named team MVP during her senior season of 1992.

From 1999-2002, Malloy served as Head Softball Coach at Marywood. She was appointed interim Head Field Hockey Coach in 1999 after serving as an assistant coach with the program from 1994-1998 where she helped guide the Pacers to one PAC Championship and three runner-up finishes. As an assistant coach in softball from 1995-1998, Malloy helped lead the softball program to a conference Championship in 1995.

Inducted into Marywood's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003, Malloy is a native of nearby Honesdale, PA. She remains involved in the local softball scene as President of the Wayne County Women's Softball League.  Malloy earned a BA in Health and Physical Education from Marywood in 1992.
