Rob Galdieri

Rob joined the Marywood staff in the fall of 2014 as Sports Turf Manager and Head Groundskeeper. He is responsible for the maintenance of all natural grass athletic facilities as well as the synthetic turf field.

Due to Galdieri's tireless efforts, Marywood's baseball field was recognized as a 2016 Keystone Athletic Field Manager's Organization (KAFMO) Field of Distinction.  KAFMO recognizes the facilities in the organization that have been dedicated to providing safe, playable conditions for their users regardless of the level of play. Field of Distinction awards are presented each year at the annual KAFMO Athletic Field Conference held each February.

Prior to joining Marywood, Rob was the Operations Manager for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders professional baseball club, a position he held since 2007. While with the RailRiders, Rob assisted in the maintenance of the natural grass playing surface, which was routinely rated among the best in the International League.

Rob is a member of the Sports Turf Manager’s Association and Keystone Athletic Field Manager’s Organization. A native of Scranton, he is a 2009 graduate of Delaware Valley College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy and Environmental Science with a specialization in Turf Management.
