Scranton, PA - After falling to Division I Manhattan College last week to start the 2014-15 swimming and diving season, Marywood University evened their dual meet record at 1-1 on the year in both men's and women's swimming and diving as the Pacers downed Wilkes University Saturday afternoon at the Marywood Aquatics Center. The men won every event and dominated the Colonels 151-33 while the women were effective as well, taking their meet 123-74.

Wilkes' women's team won the 200 yard medley relay to open Saturday's meet, and Marywood's men's team dominance started immediately after. Marywood's 200 medley relay team of Jason Beabout, Paul Kremsner, Daniel Adams and Alex Martino won in 1:48.95. Eddie Sanborn III won the 1000 free in 11:11.40 while Kim Petersen won the women's 1000 in 12:17.59

Shanna Carwell (2:11.49) won the women's 200 free while Beabout won the men's. Carwell would later win the 500 free in 5:51.76. Julissa Quezada and Val Barlow finished first and second for the women in the 50 free while Adams, Anthony Pisano and Blake Burlingame swept the men's 50 free. Joseph Buderwitz won the men's 200 IM in 2:09.80.

Quezada won her second event of the day with a victory in the 100 butterfly (1:06.63) and Zack Haney won the men's 100 butterfly in 55.90. Virginia Cobb (59.31) won the 100 free for the women while Bryon Scholl won the men's 100 free in 50.48.

Shanahan (100 back), Buderwitz (500 free), Haney (200 breast) and the Pacers' 400 free relay team of Buderwitz, DJ Boyer, Scholl and Adams closed out the meet with wins for the Pacers.

Marywood will host Cazenovia College tomorrow at noon.
