Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Overtime Winner Extends Men's Soccer's Unbeaten Streak to Four

Scranton, Pa. – Zac Lloyd hit a game-winning goal in the first overtime minute to lead Marywood University to a 2-1 win over Rosemont College Saturday in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's soccer action. The Pacers extend their winning streak to four games – their longest since 2014.

Lloyd tallied his seventh of the season just 52 seconds into the overtime period. Carlos Perez sent a cross into traffic for Lloyd to lift over the keeper from six yards away.

Lloyd ties the school record, held by Daniel Hull (2015) and Christian Lawlor (2011), with his fourth game-winning goal of the year.

Jon Dinnell scored his first career goal to end 76 minutes of scoreless soccer. On a Ryan Atcavage cross from the right side, Capers Borders heeled the ball back into the box for Dinnell to strike from 14 yards out.

Both Borders and Perez were credited with assists for the game.

Rosemont's Cavit Ula penned an equalizer in the 81st minute on a penalty kick opportunity.

Michael Mejia made three saves for his seventh victory of the year. Ravens goalkeeper Sean Ianelli made 11 saves in the loss. Ianelli made three saves in a seven-second span in the 15th minute.

Marywood (7-5, 4-2 CSAC) outshot the Ravens by a 29-10 margin. The Pacers had 13 shots on goal to the Ravens' four. Marywood had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Pacers remain in fifth place in the CSAC standings with 12 points. Rosemont (1-11-1, 0-5-1 CSAC) remains at the bottom of the table.

Marywood heads up Route 6 to face Keystone College Tuesday at 4:00 pm.
