Marywood Slips to First Place Gwynedd Mercy

Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – Marywood University fell to Gwynedd Mercy University 7-0 on Saturday in Colonial States Athletic Conference field hockey. The Griffins (13-3, 6-0 CSAC) remain undefeated in conference play, while the Pacers fall to 4-11, 3-3 CSAC.
 
Kaitlyn Lutz put together three goals and an assist for Gwynedd Mercy. Reigning CSAC Player of the Year Melissa Russo scored twice. Abigail Gabriel tallied a goal and an assist.
 
Allison Campbell came off the bench to score once for the Griffins.
 
Sara Marshall had a defensive save for the Pacers. Kenzie Drew recorded the team's only shot on goal.
 
Kerri Mountz made 16 saves in the cage for the Pacers. Her counterpart Abi Kennedy made one save.
 
Marywood travels to Keystone College Wednesday night for a match with CSAC playoff implications.
