Volleyball Clinches CSAC Playoff Home Game in Split

Radnor, Pa. – Marywood University's seven-match winning streak came to a close at the hands of Cabrini University Wednesday. The Pacers concluded their Colonial States Athletic Conference volleyball schedule with a win over Rosemont College and a loss to Cabrini University.
 
Marywood (12-16, 8-3 CSAC) is assured of a home game in the CSAC playoffs. The Pacers will await the Notre Dame Maryland-Cabrini match to decide its final seed. If the Gators win, Marywood will host Keystone as the No. 4 seed. If the Cavaliers win, Marywood will host Notre Dame Maryland as the No. 6 seed.
 
The Pacers defeated Rosemont by a 25-5, 25-9, 25-13 score. Marywood fell to Cabrini by scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-11.
 
Marywood 3, Rosemont 0
 
Marywood took care of the Ravens by hitting .279 for the match.
 
Gabriella Santos finished with eight aces and three blocks. Jordan Vossler supplied 12 digs.
 
Peri Sheerin and Sam Compton each had a team-high six kills. Compton also tacked on four aces.
 
Annie Heyen finished with 17 assists.
 
Cabrini 3, Maryood 0
 
The Pacers failed to get an ace in the three-set loss.
 
Vossler made 18 digs. Heyen tallied 18 assists and eight digs. Sheerin posted a team-best eight kills and shot .125 for the match.
 
Marywood is at it again on Friday when it travels down Interstate 81 to face King's College and Lycoming College in Wilkes-Barre.
