Pacers Snap Skid, Shutout Neumann 5-0

Aston, Pa. - Lindsey Quinn had two goals and an assist while Jenna Dickey and Kenzie Drew each had a goal and a helper as Marywood snapped a seven-game slide with a 5-0 shutout win over host Neumann University Tuesday afternoon in CSAC field hockey action.  The Pacers stand at 2-8 (1-1 CSAC) with the win while the Knights fell to 1-7 (0-2).

Marywood's offense came alive after scoring one goal the previous two games.  Quinn opened things up in the eighth minute of action when she finished a feed from Dickey for what would be the game-winner.

Dickey then tallied her third goal of the season in the 18th minute off a helper from Quinn, and Quinn scored her team-leading fourth of the season in the 34th minute off an assist from Drew.

Drew then scored 1:23 into the second half off a corner from Sara Sterchak, and Gwyneth Gleason closed the scoring by putting home a rebound in the 43rd minute.

Marywood dominated the shot chart 20-5 and placed 13 on cage to that of three for Neumann.  Kerri Mountz (42:47) and Carlie Antes (27:13, two saves) split time in goal for the Pacers in the shutout win.  Mary Miller made eight saves for Neumann.  Sterchak picked up her second defensive save of the season in the win.

Marywood hosts Notre Dame of Maryland University Saturday at 4:00 pm.
