Field Hockey Cruises to Second Straight CSAC Win

Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University defeated Notre Dame of Maryland University 10-1 to win their second straight league game.  The Pacers improved to 3-8 overall and 2-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference after outscoring their opponents 15-1 on the week. 

The Pacers got two goals and an assist apiece from Lindsey Gladden and Angela Sanchez while Jenna Dickey added a goal and assist as eight different Marywood players scored in the win.  

Gladden opened the scoring at 1:17 off a feed from Dickey as she had an open shot at the far side of the goal. Lindsey Quinn then doubled the Pacers lead at the 2:08 mark shen Gladden sent her a pass that she one-timed home.

Karly Kaminsky and Sanchez each scored unassisted goals in the 13th and 17th minutes, respectively, as Marywood built a 4-0 lead.  Kenzie Drew got in on the scoring in the 21st minute off a Heather Forbes helper, and Sanchez closed the first half scoring in the 26th minute with another unassisted goal as Marywood went up 6-0 by the break.

In the second, Marywood scored two minutes in on Gladden's second (Gwyneth Gleason assist) and 11 minutes in when Dickey found the back of the cage, but the Gators' Kat Malone ended the Pacers' shutout bid with a 56th minute tally.

Natalie Martine (Sanchez assist) and Meredith Yozwiak (Drew assist) closed out the scoring for the Pacers.  

Marywood outshot the Gators 50-2 and put 39 on frame.  Calenna Cauley made 27 saves in goal for Notre Dame of Maryland University.  Kerri Mountz (one save) and Carlie Antes (one goal allowed) split time in the cage for the Pacers.
