Women's Golf Stays Unbeaten, Defeats Scranton

Match Results

Moosic, Pa. - Marywood University remained unbeaten in women's golf as the Pacers defeated the University of Scranton 3.5-1.5 in match play at Glenmaura National Golf Course. Marywood (3-0) got wins from Christiane Lowcher, Tessa Briselden and Brianna Baker.

Lowcher defeated Katie Allen 5&4 in what was the largest victory of the day for the Pacers. Scranton's Brianna Stein and Marywood's Serena Woody split, while all other matches were close.

Tessa Briselden defeated Julie Cranney 1-up while Maggie McDonough avenged an earlier loss in the season to Mariah Casey by an identical 1-up score. Casey had defeated McDonough 1-up on September 9th to give Marywood a dramatic 3-2 win over the Royals at Scranton Municipal.

Marywood's Brianna Baker was a 2-up winner over Maura McDonough. Last week, she defeated her 3&2.

Marywood takes on Keystone College Friday September 22 at the Scranton Municipal Golf Course in Mount Cobb.
