Major, Casey Set Records in Tri-Match Split

Invitational Results

Moosic, Pa. - Leslie Major and Mariah Casey each had record days to lead Marywood University women's golf to a team record low round as the Pacers split a tri-match with The University of Scranton and Arcadia University Tuesday afternoon at Glenmaura National.

Casey set a new individual low round mark when she came in with a card of 79, but that record did not last long as Leslie Major carded a 75 to earn medalist honors. Casey finished second, and the duo's two low scores of the afternoon helped the Pacers to a record low team score of 352.  Scranton won the tri-match by placing three golfers in the top six and scored a 342. Arcadia finished third with a 366.

Following Major and Casey, Scranton's Brianna Stein had a +12 round of 83 followed by Maura McDonough (85) who tied with Micaela Uriegas of Arcadia four fourth place.

Maggie McDonough shot a 87 as did teammate Emma Nemitz for the Royals as both finished tied for sixth and clinched the team victory for Scranton.

Arcadia's Allie Paparo (91) and Hannah Kline (93) finished eighth and ninth, respectively, while Marywood's Tessa Briselden rounded out the top 10 with a round of 95.

Marywood next hosts the Atlantic East Conference Fall Preview match at Bear Trap Dunes in Ocean View, Delaware on October 15.
