Dover, Del. - Third-seeded Marywood University ended its first Atlantic East Conference field hockey playoffs with a 1-0 semifinal loss to No. 2 Wesley College Wednesday. The Pacers (12-7) will now await consideration for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) playoffs next week.

Kasey Fry scored the lone goal of the game in the 75th minute. In the fifth minute of the first 7-on-7 overtime frame, Fry ripped a shot off of Kaila Hindt's push into the cage to send the Wolverines into the Atlantic East final on Saturday.

It marked the second 1-0 overtime loss at Wesley for the Pacers this season.

Marywood keeper Kerri Mountz finished with nine saves. She stopped an Alexiss Hulse penalty stroke in the 64th minute to keep it a scoreless game. Opponents are now 0-for-8 on penalty strokes against Mountz this season.

The Wolverines outshot the Pacers by a 15-10 margin and 11-2 two on target. Marywood had eight penalty corners to Wesley's six.

Michaela Schmidt had a defensive save in overtime.

Jaida Marks had a shot get past the keeper in the 38th. Wesley's defender Natalie Quigley made a defensive save at the line to keep it a scoreless game.

Lindsey Quinn had the other shot on goal off of a Sara Marshall pass in the 49th minute, but keeper Sidney Knott made her lone save of the contest. Jenna Dickey put the rebound into the cage but the official waived off the points.
