Radnor, Pa. – Marywood University let an eight-point fourth quarter lead slip in a 76-66 loss to top-seeded Cabrini University on Wednesday in the Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball semifinal. The Cavaliers outscored the Pacers 27-6 in the final quarter.

Gab Giordano finished with 10 points for the Pacers.

Nomi Washington had 23 points to lead the Cavaliers. Megan Matthews added 17 points.

Cabrini (25-2) will host third-seeded Neumann University in the CSAC championship game. The Knights defeated Gwynedd Mercy University 73-64 on the road.

The Cavaliers went on a seven-point run to start the fourth quarter. Gioradno hit a 3-pointer from Catie Nealon with 5:43 left in the quarter for the team's first points of the stanza. Cabrini's Kate Lannon followed punch-for-punch with a long-distance of her own to slim the Pacers' lead to one (60-59).

Aryah Aungst kept the Cavaliers at bay with a 3-pointer of her own, from Hessling, to advance the lead to 63-59 with 4:31. On Cabrini's next turn down the court, Kate King made a layup in the paint off of a Sabrina Hackendorn feed. With 3:30 left, Matthews made a pair from charity stripe to even the score.

After trading a pair of possessions, Lannon made a layup in the paint to reclaim Cabrini's lead with 2:17. Washington scored on the Cavs' next possession to extend the lead to 67-63. It would set sail a 10-point run for Cabrini. The home team scored on its final seven possessions.

Marywood (15-12) shot 35.7 percent from the field for the contest, holding the Cavs to a 31.3 percent mark. The undersized Pacers outrebounded Cabrini 46-41. Turnovers were a boon for the Cavaliers. Marywood coughed up 19 to the Cavs' seven.
