Women's Tennis Rolls Over Cairn

Scranton, Pa. - Marywood's women's tennis wins its fourth in a row today by shutting out Cairn University, 9-0. The Pacers have been impressive over their four-game winning streak, three of which have come by shutout. With the win, the Pacers improve their record to 7-3 overall and 7-1 in the Colonial State Athletic Conference.
 
Danielle Ogonowski and Nicole Sinclair both had impressive victories in the first and third set respectively. They both shut out their opponents in both sets (6-0, 6-0). Devin Zombek and Abygail Doud came back after dropping their first set. Zombek overcame Cairn's Ellie Santos (6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 10-5). Doud rallied to beat Mariah Wilson (1-6, 6-4, 10-8).
 
In doubles Ogonowski teamed up with Doud to beat Maya Neal and Charelotte Camp in the first set of doubles (8-0). Marywood's Emily Zarrilli and Devin Zombek come out on top over Ellie Santos and Mariah Wilson (8-20.
 
Marywood travels to Immaculata University tomorrow for their third match this weekend.
