Seven Pacers Selected to CSAC Women's Lacrosse Awards

Aston, Pa. - Seven Marywood University student-athletes were picked to the Colonial States Athletic Conference women's lacrosse end of the year awards. Marywood finished the regular season with a 10-6 overall and 7-1 conference record with the No. 2 seed in the upcoming CSAC tournament.

Senior attack Sam Bussinelli, sophomore midfielder Gwyneth Gleason and junior defender Michaela DiLorenzo were picked to the All-CSAC First Team. Sophomore defender Molly Yelencsics earned a spot on the All-CSAC Second Team. Senior midfielder Caitlin Watson and senior attack Erin Healy earned recognition on the All-CSAC Honorable Mention team. Senior attack Katrina Kelly was the team's representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Bussinelli, of Ridgewood, N.J., had a best offensive season of her career with 48 goals, 31 assists and 79 points. In Wednesday's historic win over Susquehanna, Bussinelli broke the single-season school record for assists. She also became a member of the elusive 200 Point Club. Earlier this season, Bussinelli broke Natalie Burke '17's career assists record and stands at 85 helpers in her four years. She ranks fourth in school history with 171 goals, and Bussinelli leapfrogged over Kimberly Commisso '14 for second all-time with 256 points. Among active career leaders, Bussinelli ranks 33rd in points, 36th in assists and 46th in goals in NCAA Division III. It is her first appearance on the All-CSAC First Team after reaching the Second Team ('15, 17) and Honorable Mention ('16).

Gleason, of Vestal, N.Y., found her way into nearly every stat column in her second-straight All-CSAC First Team appearance. Gleason totaled 35 goals, 18 assists and 53 points as a middie. She recently eclipsed her 100th point and currently stands with 120 for her career. Gleason flourished on the draws, particularly in the latter half of the season, to lead the team with 82 draw controls. She also contributed 37 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers. Gleason ranked fourth in the conference with 4.87 draw controls per game.

DiLorenzo, of Endwell, N.Y., was a stalwart in the backfield for a defense that held opponents to a conference-best 8.93 goals per game. She racked up 36 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers this season, in addition to one point on an assist. DiLorenzo was picked as the CSAC Defensive Player of the Week (4/15) and Weekly Honor Roll (3/25). It is her first time on the All-CSAC First Team after being on the Second Team in 2017 and Honorable Mention in 2016. DiLorenzo sits just outside of the record books with 60 caused turnovers and 104 ground balls for her career.

Yelencsics, of Edison, N.J., also contributed to stymying  offenses to a CSAC best 8.93 goals per game. She led the Pacers with 45 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers. Yelencsics contributed in other parts of the field with 29 draw controls, seven goals, three assists, and 10 points. She had seven games of four-plus ground balls and is just six ground balls short of cracking the single-season record books. Yelencsics improves upon her CSAC Honorable Mention spot from last season. For her career, she matched DiLorenzo with 104 ground balls with 54 caused turnovers.

Watson, of Owego, N.Y., ranked third on the team in goals (29) and points (35). She reached the CSAC Honorable Mention for the second time of her career after making the team as a sophomore. Earlier this season, Watson reached the 100 Point Club. For her career, she balances the box score with 85 goals, 37 assists, 122 points, 128 draw controls, 102 ground balls and 60 caused turnovers. She is coming off hat tricks against Cabrini and Susquehanna. Watson ranks 11th in school history in career points.

Healy, of Clinton, N.J., earns her first All-CSAC award after scoring 22 goals, eight assists and 30 points on the year. She joined the 100 Point Club early in the season, and Healy ranks 10th in school history with 124 career points. Healy has 84 goals, 41 assists and 59 ground balls in four years. She totaled six-point efforts in wins over Alvernia and Gwynedd Mercy.

Kelly, of Jackson, N.J., is a five-year member of the team after missing the 2014 season to injury. She provided the Pacers with 11 goals, five assists and 16 points, in addition to 22 ground balls and six caused turnovers. For her career. Kelly has 41 goals, 36 assists and 77 points.
