Bussinelli Breaks Career Assists Record in 17-3 Win over Gators

Baltimore, Md. – Marywood University senior attack Sam Bussinelli set the program record for career assists in the Pacers' 17-3 victory over Notre Dame Maryland Saturday in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's lacrosse action. The Pacers won their fourth consecutive game.

Bussinelli finished with four goals and two assists, breaking Natalie Burke `17's record. After tying the mark in the Pacers' win earlier this week over Centenary, Bussinelli stands with 72 career assists.

Caitlin Watson also provided the Pacers with four goals. Gwyneth Gleason tallied three goals, an assist and seven draw controls.

Zoe Simeone scored three points on two goals and an assist. She also had a team-high five ground balls.

Faith Grieshaber, Erin Healy and Gina Babcock finished with a goal and an assist.

Mary Leahy made five saves in the winning effort. The Gators' Marie Salas kept away 19 Pacers' shots.

Kirstin McGee scored twice for the Pacers.

Marywood had a 39-21 advantage in ground balls.

After topping the .500 mark, Marywood (6-5, 4-0 CSAC) heads to Gwynedd Mercy University on Tuesday.
