Winchester, Va. – The Marywood University volleyball team evened its record by taking two out of three matches at the Shenandoah Quad Tournament in Winchester, Virginia. The Pacers beat Wilson College and University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, and they fell to host Shenandoah University.
The Pacers even their record to 4-4 on the season. It is their best record through eight games since the 2014 campaign.
Marywood 3, Wilson 1
The Pacers won the last two matches to break away from an even match. Marywood defeated the Phoenix by scores of 25-17, 20-25, 25-19, 26-24.
Marywood had a season-best .258 attack percentage for the match. Wilson was held to a .118 mark. The Pacers nearly doubled the Phoenix in assists by a 55-29 margin.
Peri Sheerin tallied 16 kills with just one error for a .517 attack percentage.
Gabriella Santos totaled 15 kills with a .233 hitting percentage.
Sam Compton contributed with 11 kills, three aces and seven digs.
Jordan Vossler had a team-high 24 digs.
Annie Heyen stepped up with 15 digs and three aces.
Marywood faced game point in the fourth set, trailing 24-22. Capitalizing on a service error, the Pacers finished with three straight kills.
Nicole Cashman had a pair of kills to take the lead. Marywood finished its second-
straight match with a Sheerin kill from
Sara Burgos.
Burgos helped with 42 assists.
Emily Haberman provided 10 assists.
Shenandoah 3, Marywood 0
Marywood fell to the host Hornets by scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-22. The Pacers shot .067 for the match. Despite the three-set loss, Marywood had a 42-39 advantage in points.
Sheerin again led the Pacers with 10 kills. Burgos notched 26 assists. Vossler supplied 20 digs.
Cashman had a team-high three aces, and Santos blocked four shots.

Coach
Carissa Dube's squad prevailed over the Panthers by scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-16. Marywood shot .133 for the match.
Sheerin posted 12 kills on a .345 attack percentage. Cashman had seven kills.
Burgos engineered 26 assists. Vossler tallied 15 digs and three aces, and Compton reached double figures with 12 digs.
Mikayla Attwood blocked three shots.
Marywood travels to Albright College on Thursday.
