Women's Golf Splits Tri-Match in Match Play

Mount Cobb, Pa. – Marywood women's golf split their tri-match today between University of Scranton and Misericordia University. The Pacers beat Misericordia 4-1, but fell to Scranton 4-1.

Despite the difference in team scores the individual matches were nail biters, with each match separated by two points or less.

Against Misericordia, Marywood's Brianna Baker beat Lara May 9-7. Pacer's Leslie Major and Tessa Briselden overcame their opponents 4-3. Juliet Lepri of Marywood won 8-7 over Paige Wampole.

Versus Scranton, Tessa Briselden scored the sole point for the Pacers. Briseldon, came out on top of Maura McDonough 5-4. Marywood Mariah Casey fell just short against Brianna Stein. Stein overcame Casey 1-up.

The Pacers will be traveling to Fox Hollow Golf Club in Quakertown, Pa. for the Landmark Conference Preview on Saturday, September 29^th.
