Marymount Tops Women's Basketball in Atlantic East Showdown

Arlington, Va. - Marywood University fell to Marymount University 67-27 Saturday in Atlantic East Conference women's basketball action. The Pacers dropped their second straight away game this week to a 2018 NCAA Tournament participant. 

Alyssa Olson led the Pacers with eight points. Natasha Hessling reached double figures off the glass again with 11 rebounds. 

Marymount had four players in double figures. Regan Lohr led the Saints with 18 points. Abby Fisher totaled 11 points. Gabriella Haddad and Aidan Phillips each produced 10 points. 

The Saints shot 51.2 percent from the field, holding the Pacers to 22 percent. Marywood committed 30 turnovers, and the Saints shot 20 of 22 from the charity stripe for a 90.9 percent clip. 

Marymount rushed to a 29-2 lead and held Marywood without a field goal for the first 15 minutes. 

The Pacers welcome Neumann University on Wednesday in a battle of two ECAC Players of the Month.
