Pacers Take Down Giants in Four Sets

La Plume, Pa. - Marywood University volleyball had four players with double-digit points in a 3-1 victory over Keystone College on Halloween. The Pacers secured their third straight win over the Giants. 

The Pacers won by scores of 25-18, 25-23, 22-25, 25-17. 

Ashley King produced 19.5 points. She had three blocks, two aces, 15 kills and a .270 attack percentage. 

Peri Sheerin totaled a team-high 16 kills. Sam Compton matched a season-high with 13 kills and 20 digs with a .242 hitting percentage. 

Nicole Cashman registered nine kills, three aces and eight digs. 

Defensively, Jordan Vossler neared the 2,000-dig plateau with 26. Sara Burgos had a double-double with 35 assists and 10 digs. 

Trailing 15-12 in the first set, Marywood went on an eight-point run on Vossler serves to retake the lead. 

The Pacers trailed again in the second set (15-11) before a rally. Cashman evened the score at 16-16. Both teams traded leads before Sheerin put the Pacers ahead 22-21 with a kill. Keystone took straight on game point, but Compton closed the set with a kill. 

Marywood broke out of a 6-6 tie with six straight points on Cashman serves to notch the match in the fourth. 

Marywood hosts Wesley College Saturday at 1:00 pm in its regular season finale.
