Scranton, Pa. – Marywood University fell to Arcadia University 17-9 in a non-conference men's lacrosse game Sunday held at the University of Scranton. The Pacers dropped their second game in as many days.

Freshman Ben Mustakos finished with four goals. Matt Mitarotonda had two goals. Patrick Dingwell and Eric Morin both provided a goal and an assist.

Justin Einwechter was a prominent force on the defensive end with six caused turnovers and five ground balls. Jeff Johnsen finished with four ground balls, and Luke McFadden tallied three caused turnovers.

Connor Reed posted his second consecutive game with more than 12 saves. He stopped 15 shots with three ground balls.

The Knights outshot the Pacers 57-48 and a 21-6 advantage in faceoffs won with a 42-29 edge in ground balls. Arcadia was also 6 for 8 with a man advantage, including 4 for 5 in the second quarter.

Tanner Pajakinas set up the first three goals of the second quarter, all man-up scores, as the Knights lead swelled to 7-1 by the 8:36 mark.

Marywood scored four of the six goals to pull within 9-5 on a man-up Dingwell goal, but the Knights scored off a Pajakinas feed with four seconds left in the half for a 10-5 lead at the break, and four straight goals to open the third gave Arcadia a 14-5 lead.

The Pacers stay in the Electric City to host Wilkes University on Wednesday at 6 pm.
