Franciscan Overpowers Women's Tennis

Orlando, Fla. - Franciscan University of Steubenville improved to 15-3 on the year as they defeated Marywood 9-0 in non-conference women's tennis action Wednesday evening in Florida.

Marywood (1-8) got a great effort from Devin Zombek at number four singles.  Zombek dropped a tight opening set 4-6, won the second set 7-5 but fell in the third 2-6.  Danielle Ogonoski fell 6-3, 7-5 at the top singles spot to Maadelyn Conrad.

In doubles, the closest match was Deena Haroun Mahdavi and Lyndsey Medric's 8-4 loss at number three.

Marywood will take on Ursinus College Thursday at 6:30 pm in their final match of spring break.
